Nobody Saves the World: Review of the hilarious rpg gam

If you’ve started playing this hilarious game from DrinkBox Studios, you can be one hundred percent sure that you won’t stop until you’ve completed all the levels. Because Guacamelee is so addictive, you will want to try playing it level by level to see what other surprises the developers have in store for you.

From form to form

Nobody Saves the World is not just a combat RPG, but a very unusual gaming project that contains a killer dose of parody and humor. The developers delicately mock classics of the genre like Diablo.

The game’s protagonist, a man named Nobody, is a pathetic creature who must evolve in order to save the world. His mission: to find the absentee great wizard Nostramagus. Because only a wizard can stop the Onslaught, a malevolent entity intent on consuming all life.

Nostramagus is capable of transforming into various creatures. A total of 17 forms are available: rat, zombie, bodybuilder sweating profusely, military robot… Each form has individual characteristics: health, mana, movement speed. Some form abilities are unique. For example, only rats can penetrate narrow passages, while only mermaids and turtles can swim. But the developers didn’t give proper consideration to the ability to fly. The dragon and ghost have it, but they can only fly over the water, and their other characteristics like resistance to poison are very weak.

At the beginning of the game each of the forms has very little set of abilities. This is expanded as the game progresses. Upgrade the forms by completing quests. The specifics of the game is that in order to pass, the player will have to use all of the forms. It is not possible to pass the game on only one of them.

Nobody Saves the World is a PC rpg game

From dungeons to jungles

Each game level offers unique locations: dungeons similar to the familiar “Diablo”, radioactive wasteland, the realm of the dead, the jungle and so on. You won’t get bored in any of the locations, as the creators have generously populated them with monsters, as well as placed a lot of secrets. Open the latter to replenish the supply of game money and mana. In addition, the player is given the opportunity to join one of the guilds: the mages, warriors or knights. This allows the player to complete additional quests, each of which is an exciting mini-game.

As for the enemies, the developers did their best. Monsters show great ingenuity in their intention to take the life of the protagonist. Their weapons: limbs, teeth, even eyes, from which some monsters manage to shoot. What makes the game so exciting is that the monsters are not easy to destroy. You must first destroy the special shields that protect the evil creatures. For the destruction of shields and requires maximum pumping of all the entities of the protagonist.

Where the creators did not work well is with the boss levels. Only one of them is exclusive, and all the rest are boosted and upgraded versions of some of the in-game monsters.

Humour and atmosphere of the game.

The graphics of the game are unequivocally praiseworthy. The graphics are colourful, detailed and cleverly designed.

It is impossible not to mention the scriptwriters’ interesting sense of humour. They make the protagonist become a horse to complete one of the missions and have an affair with a stallion, or help a slug by necromancy to resurrect his kinsman. The game also features a huge number of very recognisable homages to many famous computer games.
